• Licensed Loan Officer | Commission Only | NMLS Preferred • Company: Northgate Mortgage LLC • Job Description: Northgate Mortgage LLC is seeking a motivated and highly organized Loan Officer Assistant to support borrowers and Loan Officers throughout the mortgage process. This position will assist with borrower communication, document collection, file preparation, pipeline management, and ongoing follow-up activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced mortgage environment.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building a long-term career in the mortgage industry while gaining exposure to the loan origination process. • Responsibilities: • Communicate with borrowers via phone, email, and text message • Request and collect required loan documentation • Maintain accurate borrower records and loan files • Monitor loan milestones and outstanding requirements • Follow up on missing documentation and conditions • Update borrower and loan information within company systems • Support Loan Officers with active loan pipelines • Coordinate activities between borrowers and internal teams • Contact prospective borrowers and gather preliminary information • Maintain organized notes and follow-up schedules • Deliver professional and customer-focused service throughout the mortgage process • Qualifications: • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organization and follow-up abilities • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • High attention to detail • Comfortable speaking with borrowers by phone • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Strong customer-service mindset • Ability to learn mortgage products, systems, and processes • Comfortable working in a commission-only environment • Preferred Qualifications: • Loan Officer Assistant experience • Mortgage Assistant experience • Mortgage Processing experience • Loan Processing experience • Mortgage Operations experience • Borrower documentation experience • Experience using CRM or mortgage software systems • Interest in pursuing future mortgage licensing opportunities • What Success Looks Like: • Consistent borrower communication • Strong follow-up habits • Accurate and organized loan files • Effective support of Loan Officers and borrowers • Excellent customer service • Reliability, accountability, and attention to detail • Note: Commission-only compensation structure applies; NMLS preferred but not strictly required.
